Privacy policy.
What we collect when you use this site or work with us, why, and what we do with it.
Canvas & Byte (“we”, “us”) is a small design studio based in Brisbane, Queensland. We take privacy seriously and keep what we collect to the minimum needed to do the job.
What we collect
- Contact and search-check forms: your name, email address, phone number if you give it (only used to contact you about your request), your business name and website address, and whatever you write in the message.
- Working with us: the content, images, logins and accounts you provide so we can build or maintain your website, and the business details that appear on it.
- Site usage: we don't currently use analytics on this site. If we add it, it will be a privacy-friendly kind that doesn't use cookies or identify you, and this page will say so.
How we use it
- To reply to you, run a search check you asked for, quote, and deliver the work.
- To keep your website running and, if you have a care plan, to report on it.
- We do not sell, rent or share your details with anyone for marketing, and we do not add you to a mailing list unless you ask to be on one.
Where it is kept
- Form submissions are emailed to us and are not stored on this website.
- Project files and messages are kept in our email, cloud storage and project folders for as long as we work together and for a reasonable period afterwards for records and support.
- Forms are protected from spam bots by Cloudflare Turnstile (Cloudflare privacy policy) and sent to our inbox by Resend (Resend privacy policy).
- These and the other services we rely on (email, hosting, code storage) may process data outside Australia under their own privacy terms.
Your website's visitors
When we build a site for you, your visitors' data belongs to you. We set sites up so that form submissions go straight to your inbox and nothing is stored on the site, and we recommend privacy-friendly analytics by default.
Your rights
You can ask what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it, by emailing [email protected]. We'll respond within a reasonable time. If you're not satisfied, you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.
Changes
If this policy changes, the new version will be published here with the date it took effect. This version: 24 October 2026.
